He'd been testing the effects of a poison that he'd never heard of before. As he often did. He needed to know how to identify it and the best way to do that was to feel the effects himself. And once again, he'd died and turned up in the middle of what he thought was the East River. He came to the surface and looked around for Abraham, but he couldn't see the dock. Or New York City for that matter. How had he ended up here? And where was here, exactly? He swam to short and came up on the beach, covering himself as best he could with his hands. If he was nowhere near New York how was he going to find clothes?

"Where am I?"

Rarity stared out at the ocean as she wait for him to dry off, holding the clothing over her gently crossed arms. "No, I'm afraid not," she said. "It is a beautiful, pleasant place, however. Everything is free, or for trade. We work and share, there is no money." She tried to explain simply for his sake. It was always so difficult to hear that information upon arrival. She rather wished she could take it back.

"As utopian as this sounds, dear lady, I am afraid I need to get back to New York." He thought of the only way he could attempt it but he didn't want to share his secret, and he certainly wasn't going to kill himself in front of this young woman. At a later time, perhaps. "I do greatly appreciate your kindness." He indicated the clothes, not wanting to simply take them from her.

Passing aside the cotton pieces of clothing, Rarity smiled softly. "You will be brought back," she said sadly. "There is no leaving. Those that leave on the door are returned. There is only death and...I do not wish that." She looked devastated in the idea of someone dying. "Even then some have returned."

Henry's face fell at that revelation. Even death couldn't get him home? What would Abraham do? He was sure to think the poison had actually managed to kill him. Taking a deep breath, he let it out, then took the offered clothing and dressed quickly. If he was nothing else, Henry Morgan was adaptable.

"Then perhaps could I trouble you for a place to sleep just until I find my own." He didn't want to impose but he had few options.

Putting on a better smile, Rarity nodded. "Of course," she said. Generosity was her thing, after all. Though she was glad to clue him in while taking a few steps toward her home, the morning breeze pushing at her long dress. Everything was dresses, loose maxi dresses that concealed her baby weight and allowed her to move easily.

"The island is quite nice, because there is no cost you simply move into any home you choose," she said. "And there are plenty of magnificent places! You'll like it here," Rarity spoke more like a Real Estate agent as they went.

"But first you should sit and have some tea. Are you hungry? I was about to make breakfast." Rarity looked back to Henry and then laughed. "I'm Rarity Fitzwilliam, by the way."

Henry sighed with a bit of relief. "Tea would be lively." He nodded. He then allowed a smile. "And I have forgotten my manners." He stopped briefly and gave her a short bow. "Dr. Henry Morgan." He then continued to walk beside her.

Rarity beamed. "The pleasure is all mine, Doctor Morgan." She led the man up the stairs, one hand holding onto her skirt so she did not trip up it. At the beautiful french doors she paused and looked back to him.

"My newborns are still sleeping, and I believe my daughter is as well. I hope you do not mind," she said politely. Wow, that felt strangely awkward for her to say. What did men, or general populace, think of a woman with children by herself? Rarity hadn't ever thought much about it before. Applejack had a whole family but Rarity couldn't recall ever meeting a Grand Pappy Smith and certainly not her parents for obvious reasoning. All of the families she knew had both parents...It had not seemed strange here but suddenly she was inviting a stranger to her home.

At least the children were upstairs. Henry did not seem like a bad man. If he was she would rip his throat out without batting a lash.

"Henry, please." He smiled. When they got to the doors, his eyes went a bit wide. "My dear if you have newborns, you should definitely be resting." He immediately moved to open the door for her.

"I'm fine," Rarity said with a smile but was glad for his gentlemanly style. She let him get the door, then stepped inside and led him to the kitchen, pausing only to hear if the children were crying into their little radio or if Amy had gotten up.

"Any sugar or honey?" she asked in reference to his tea.

Henry would have objected but it wasn't his home so he had no idea where anything was. Offering to make the tea would only end up being bothersome. Instead, he simply smiled. "Just some milk, if you have it."

"I do," Rarity nodded and poured their teacups and set them on the little island, then went to the fridge for a little box of milk. She also brought over the honey and sugar bowl, for her own desire.

"I hope you like it," she said with a smile, sitting on a stool.

Henry took the offered cup and added the milk to his tea. The Englishman wanted to say something about proper tea making but kept it to himself as he was a guest in this kind woman's home. He sipped his tea as he took a seat, smiling. "It's wonderful, thank you." It was always nice to have a cup of tea after one of his many deaths.

Rarity smiled and settled into her seat. "Where are you from, Henry?" she asked with interest, voice quiet but pleasant as she looked at him.

"Originally I'm from London but most recently I'm from Manhattan." He smiled, sipping his tea again. "I tend to call New York my home now. I haven't been to London in quite some time."
