Normally JR was the sort to sleep well into the morning unless there was a specific reason to be up early, but today she was up with the sun just a faint hint on the horizon and full of anxious energy she couldn't explain. Maybe it was the conversation with Stevie the night before or the entire situation, but she was unsettled and restless and unable to sit still.
In this sort of situation the usual response would be to go for a run, but with this body running without one heck of a sports bra (which she didn't have) was to be avoided unless her life depended on it. So if not running how else to mindlessly lose oneself in cardio exercise? A memory of Stevie, bare chested and staring at her with lust in his eyes during their almost mistake floated to the top of her mind and was ruthlessly suppressed. That way lay madness and even if wouldn't have been it was still off limits.
So what else? The next thought were the thermal baths with the swimming pools that Micha had fixed up. That sounded much safer way to burn off energy. With the small population on the island in the here and now there most likely wouldn't be anyone there for several hours yet today if at all. She could skip the swimsuit and just swim.
Having come to a decision JR quickly packed a bag with a change of clothes, shower kit, and a large fluffy towel. She scribbled a note to Stevie letting him know she'd gone out and would be back sometime later and stuck it on the refrigerator where he'd be sure to see it. The last thing she needed right now was for him to get a wild hair and follow her out of noble friendship or to play a prank.
She wasn't sure how long she spent swimming laps once she got to the pool. The sun was well above the horizon now and had just been starting to peek up when she'd started, so it had been a good long while. It had done the trick though, she felt calmer and a little more centered. Less likely to try something stupid. After a long shower to let her muscles start to recover she toweled off and put on the change of clothes, then set off in no particular direction.
The next thing she knew JR was standing in front of the Buddhist temple and its meditation garden. Being raised on the island JR didn't believe much in religion, but she did believe in the power of the island to do whatever it wanted to the beings that lived here. She was living proof after all. The quiet beauty of the temple spoke to her though, and it seemed a good a place to sit and think as any. Dating Suni for as long as she had and having been the almost-son-in-law of a Jedi master before her switch had taught her a thing or two about the power of meditation even if she couldn't touch the Force.
JR settled by the railing on the second story and let her eyes close, feeling the warm morning sunshine on her skin and hearing the chirp of birds and faint rustle of tree branches swaying gently in the breeze.
[ooc: Sorry this turned into such an introspective start! lol. Go ahead and have Kat interrupt her somehow, but we'll say JR had been there for a little while first?]
