"I don't want to freak her out, I still don't know her that well." Mary explained, letting him move her hand, smiling to herself as she leant in to his side, walking in step with him.
She hadn't actually brought anything of her own with her, but she wanted to go to the cottage anyway. For all she knew the little building might supply it for her, but if not she'd steal one of Stevie's t-shirts and a pair of shorts to sleep in, and just wait until she came back to shower. "She told me to come with you to the cottage. I'm under strict orders to take a nap." Mary told Stevie, leaning her head on his shoulder. Part of her still didn't think she should, that she should be there to help watch her dad, but he'd told her to go too and she had to admit, she was starting to feel that weariness set in. Plus, she'd missed Stevie too and it was obvious it'd be a little while before the two of them could be too close for too long.
