"Yes, I know. That's why I stayed on the island to try and stop this before that happens." The Doctor thought about Rose and the Twins again. He couldn't let him become exposed to this and if it was still here when the doors closed, they would be dumped straight back in the middle of it.
The Doctor rolled his sleeves back down. He didn't need to see the welt to know it was still there, he could feel it. His skin crawled at the feel of it. Wrong, wrong, wrong. It shouldn't be on his skin, it needed to come off, it needed... The Doctor shook off the thoughts and focussed back on the matter at hand.
"Yes, he's a good dog."
"Affirmative."
"Bit arrogant but robots eh?" He watched Jake as he struggled to think. He had expected that. The effects on the brain caused by the 'fog' would take time to ease once it wasn't actively affecting them. Jake had been exposed for a great deal of time, so his brain would take far longer to re-settle.
He nodded. "Good sense, smell. Always handy. Yes, sight is a bit of an issue.." As he spoke his gaze flicked to follow some unseen movement before he looked back at Jake. "Even with above human sight. As for hearing... it's often hard to hear external sounds when your brain is filled with noise. Lucky for me I'm more used to that but even I'm finding it a challenge at times."
