Changes are coming, in a flash of lightning!

Matt had been out, skating and just enjoying the bright morning, loving his return to this place and the quiet of the morning during a break from the bakery. When he spotted the clouds and the speed with which they gathered, he swore and started running toward the bakery. This was not a normal storm, he knew. With the experience of home, the castle, this place, and the train, he knew by now what Weirdness Events looked like, and this was one. But he didn’t make it to the bakery.

With a suddenness, it was dark, and lightning was lancing downward. That made him whoop, until there was a sudden loud crack, and without warning he felt like every spark he had ever felt was magnified by a million and slammed into him without warning. There was a moment of pain, pressure, and a strange floating sensation, before he found himself laying down on the street, the lightning storm seemingly already dissipating. He groaned as he sat up and looked around, then down at his body.

The street around him was shattered, and cratered almost, around his body. The nearest building was almost completely destroyed and the next one away seemed to have a small fire in it, but not, thankfully, one that seemed to be spreading. All of that made him gape, but the weirdest part was himself. And his clothing was gone, very small particles and shreds of it clinging to his wrists, ankles, and belly. And yet he had no marks on him, nothing to show he had just been struck by lightning, save the remarkable lack of clothing.

“Whoah.”

Julie was on her way to work and was dropping off the baby with his older self. She said her goodbyes and said that she would be back later on tonight and would bring back dinner for them when she returned home. Grabbing her purse, she headed out of the apartment and locked it. She always had that instinct somehow, but she never knew why. It must have been because she was from LA originally and was just cautious, yes, that was it.

As she began walking, she looked up at the sky and it was beautiful, then suddenly it started to turn ugly. She saw the black clouds and thunder and lightening come crashing down. She tried to run, but then she felt some type of electricity hitting her and knocking the wind out of her. When she opened up her eyes and looked around, everything around her looked destroyed. There was a fire and broken glass everywhere. She got up and felt some sort of adrenaline racing through her and then she noticed that her clothes were destroyed. "Well, isn't this just great."

She then saw someone and went up to them. "Hey, what the hell was that all about? Are you okay?" She asked.

	Matt blinked as he glanced at the lady... who vaguely looked familiar from the network. And he blushed red as he realized that she, like he, was nearly naked. "I have no idea... and I think so. I feel different, but not sick or hurt." His cheeks were bright red and he avoided looking at anything but her face. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Julie stood there and just looked at him, her hands on her hips wondering what the hell was going on. She didn't have a clue, and now everything was a mess. She saw him blush and wondered what that was all about, then she looked at herself. and Immediately tried to grab something that would cover her naked parts. "Oh my god, why...why are we naked?"

"And really? I don't feel any different. Other than a draft of course." She was clearly embarrassed.

"I don't know. I feel a little tingly, and embarrassed, now, but otherwise, jut slightly not normal." Matt sighed as he cast about, then pointed one way. "I think the closest clothing store is that way. And maybe the lightning removed out clothing... somehow?"

Matt was confused and desperately trying not to look at anything he was not supposed to see. His life was weird. "Come on." He got up and wave a hand. "This way."

He wasn't shy about his own body or sneaking peeks normally, but if someone had been the victim of an accident or a weirdness, he tried not to take advantage. He led the way down the street, making no effort to shield himself with nonexistent clothing.

"I'm Matt. You're Julie, right? I think we talked on the net."

She laughed, "You're embarrassed? Just look at me, I'm not exactly a model type or anything and using objects to shield everything." Looking in his direction she nodded. "I certainly hope so. Because we would be screwed if all clothing got destroyed because of that weird storm."

Julie followed him, but eventually dropped the object and just walked freely. It wasn't as if she was too fat or ugly. Just as long as he kept his eyes elsewhere she would be fine.

Her eyes though, would go into his direction but then she would focus on the task at hand. Getting clothes so she wasn't so exposed anymore. This was just great, she was going to be late for work for sure. But surely she could use the lightening storm as an excuse.

"Yeah that's right. I'm the one with a younger and older version of my son Steven. Its nice to meet you Matt."

	"You're a very beautiful woman, ma'am." He still kept his gaze averted as he led the way. "Aha! Very nice to meet you, Julie!" Then they were at the store and he smiled as he opened the door and bowed her in, eyes glancing at her automatically, before sliding away again. Stupid instincts! "Well, thank you. I'm still trying to lose all my baby weight. And Julie please, I'm not old enough to be called ma'am yet." She had said as they were walking. "So you are the one that was just brought here right? Where did you come from?" She asked, trying to start a conversation.

Finally, they were at the clothing store and she saw him looking at her and gave him a slight smile and then turned to go in and started looking through the racks. She just needed to find a t-shirt and a pair of jeans and she would be good.

	Matt blushed as he moved to find clothing himself. "Well, I was here before, but yes. And from Settle City, back on Earth." he quickly had found a pair of underwear to skinny into, then some shorts. A shirt followed. "Where did you come from to here?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

As she was looking through the clothes, she found a tshirt, a bra, panties and a pair of jeans. Finding a small area to change her clothes. She felt good after she had put her clothes on.

"Oh I've never heard of that place before. What is that place like?" She asked as she was fixing her hair to try and make herself look a little more decent. Then he asked her where she came here from.

"Well, I'm originally from LA. But I was brought here from a place called Ridgeway Resort. That's where I met my fiancée who left me pregnant. I had my baby there and was transferred here from there. It's such a shame because I've always wanted to have more kids someday." She said shrugging her shoulders.

"A city l;ike any other, I guess? My world had a lot of special people, and there was a war, and things got weird." Matt slipped into a jacket too, and picked up a messenger bag, and a new phone. He picked up one and handed it over to her. "New Phones. Mine was fried when I got hit."

Her words made him grin. "Sounds like fun. Before i ended up here the first time, I was in two other places; a castle in Hell, and a train that traveled across time and space. I've gotten kind of used to the weird by now."

He felt tingly, but not bad, just a little weird. "Maybe you'll meet someone here."

"Ohhhh okay I gotcha. I went to a lot of parties and my dad was a big time lawyer. He did whatever it took to save his clients. Even if it meant doing something illegal. He even has a courtroom built in the basement of his house to get his witnesses some practice. Unfortunately I was brought to Ridgeway when a man had a knife to my throat. So I don't know if my dad is alive or dead by the guy." She shrugged.

Taking the phone she smiled. "Hey thanks. I'm not sure how my phone is but I'll take a new one." She laughed. "Hell and a train like back to the future. Interesting.....yeah Ridgeway wasn't as interesting as that. I worked up until I have birth. Me and some other people were merely there for the fans and people. Posing for pictures and doing whatever they wanted us to do." She tucked away a strand of hair.

Shaking her head, "I don't know about that. I mean who would want to be with someone already with a kid and in her very very early 20s?" She giggled.

"If you say so." She hit him in the shoulder in a friendly manner and looked around. She wondered if this place would have to be rebuilt in some areas. She called to make sure her baby was okay and Older Steve said that they were alright. She was happy about that at least. Putting the phone away, she sighed. "I have gotten used to being alone this past year though. But it would be nice to find somebody special and to have a life with and eventually give Steven a younger brother or sister."

"I do. I do." he smiled and led the way out. "I should text my temporary boss." He sent a text to Sookie, to let her know he would be back a little later, then nodded to her. "I'm working hours at the Bakery because of the auction."

"I'm sure it will happen. Just give it time." He glanced around, then at her. "Can I walk you home? With the crazy, I'd feel bad to just send you off without an escort."

She laughed while looking around some more. There was some pretty cool stuff in here. She might have to come back some other time and actually shop. She hadn't gone shopping in a long while because she was busy being mom and working. "Oh really? I should have auctioned off that I need a baby-sitter at times." She grinned.

"And if was heading to work as well. I work over at the diner. If you want you can escort me over there."

"Really? That would be amazing. His older self baby-sits but he has a girlfriend now and he's in the process of moving out. So I could use some help while I'm at work." She shrugged her shoulders.

She smiled than started to walk towards the diner. "You know it was a beautiful day until that storm hit. That definitely came out of nowhere. But I've learned to expect the unexpected here."

	Matt grinned. "I'd be glad to." He walked with her, feeling like all the hair on his head and arms was raising up, and feeling a spark go off when he stepped down next. "O-kay." "Great! I will owe you big time. So whenever you need a favor or anything. I'm there and will gladly do it." She said looking at him. She was grateful that she had found someone that was willing to do that for her.

That was weird and she looked concerned at him. She didn't notice anything going on with her. "Well, isn't that strange. Are you sure you're alright? Because you are electrifying." She said making a joke.

	"That is true. But still I will cook or even do any favor as a payment for your baby-sitting." She said looking at him. She was glad she had made a new friend. She didn't have too many and that was her fault. She then laughed at her own joke. "I'm sorry. I had to say it. It's just too good of a joke. But are you really going to be okay?" She asked. 	"Well, I'm glad that's settled then." She said as she fixed her hair again. At least they were wearing decent clothes now. But she was still worried about this guy. "Are you sure?
