WHO? Ernest Hemingway and Rhonda Jugson-Hemingway
WHAT? An awful discovery - with Island Trickery....! D-:
WHERE? Their flat?
WHEN? This morning?
WHY? Because we LOVE to torture them, and the plot time we paid for is officially over now?
WARNINGS/STATUS: High for loss in general and crying female in particular, and of course, the scene is CLOSED!
Rhonda was sleepily stirring in the middle of the morning, and with an awful feeling down in the pit of her stomach, almost like she knew she had lost something before she was even consciously aware of it...
And then, of course, she realised consciously what was missing from the sleepy little morning picture- aside from her husband of course, who was already up and about... Hopefully fixing her breakfast, so she could feed the baby without depleting her own limited fat resources too much...
But no, that wasn't right; it wasn't right at all! Why was she thinking of a baby when - there clearly was no baby anywhere near her...? But - there had been, when she'd fallen asleep the night before, she was certain of it... She'd changed the child's nappy, of course, and then her own pad for her lochia bleeding... Yes, she distinctly remembered that, of course... And yet, here she was lying, without any pad along her knickers, nor any baby along her arm...
She let out a shrill scream of anguish, starting with her husband's name: "ERNEST! ERNEST, oh my G-D, WHERE'S THE BABY!?"
