Robin knew it was stupid, he’d never been to Nottingham, or Sherwood Forest, he hadn’t even existed in his biological father’s timeline, he was far more the son of Marian and Hansen than he was of Robin of Loxley, but he still felt more at home in the forest than he had anywhere since he moved out of his family’s apartment when he was eighteen, or since he ended up on this timeline.

But here, among the whispering branches, with his bow and arrow at his back, he knew who he was. It was in this forest that he’d come to terms with Hansel and Mina not being his blood, here he’d dealt with being gay and the fact that Tim Dixon wasn’t, up here in his branches.

He’d learned rapidly not to shoot at anything moving in case he hit one of the shapeshifters, but he’d still practiced on the ranges until he was good enough to take apples off trees, which he was doing now, he could take them down to Sookie’s to trade.
