Re: Sorting stuff with Sarah
"Think?" Sarah snorted softly squeezing her fingers around the shard of glass a little tighter. "Do you think, you sleeping with my sister would hurt this bad if I just 'thought' I was?" She couldn't say the words. Not again.
"I thought I could leave the lab, and that I would never see you again, not in the elevator, not on the monitors, not... anywhere. That the feelings would fade into nothing around my one hundredth cat, and maybe some magic to sever the twin bond. When you said you wanted to 'see me' I thought it was my chance to go ahead and finish ripping out what little nubs of heart I have left in one swift tug." She sniffed softly. "And keep you from coming around again."
Her eyes cut to him, big, blue, and pits of self loathing sorrow. "Besides, you didn't just sleep with my sister, you slept with my twin sister. If the shoe were on the other foot, and the wound was so fresh, how would you react to seeing the other party?"
