Re: Sorting stuff with Sarah
"Because Rachel..." She let out a slow shaky breath. This was it wasn't it. Raising the piece of glass he'd taken from her foot, she stared at it. The crimson tip, where it had been jammed in to her flesh. Hoping the sense of wooziness would keep her from breaking down.
She started again. "Rachel has hurt me in a way that... Was unfathomable. I don't know if it was so, because I didn't think she was capable, or that I trusted her not to. But I guess it doesn't matter because I was wrong on both counts." Her hand began to shake, and she paused to take a few slow breaths. "You got the brunt of it because you're tangled in, and you rounded that corner at the worst possible moment. The lovely sister that she is, sent me an email, and I had just read it, saying how she wished she could say she was sorry, but she wasn't. Because..." She paused a moment to dash away a rogue tear that streaked down her cheek, hoping that he hadn't seen it. "Because she didn't regret doing what she did. That it was amazing... And I kinda had to stop there or throw my computer. Because I didn't want to read her descriptors on how awesome it was to crumble me into million pieces and leave me to rot. Or how much it's my fault, that I had it coming."
