Sorting stuff with Sarah
Richie was feeling a little bit more optimistic than he had for weeks. The search of the building the day before had been the first positive results they'd had in the search for Tommy, and even Cassandra had seemed convinced that they may be on the road to having found him. Richie knew just how hard it was to convince her of something like this.
He was on his way to see Jake to do some more healing on his legs, and hopefully hear some good news from Juliet about Rachel, then going in search of Sarah to try and sort out what was going on.
Glad to see you're keeping busy, if not out of trouble.
Hey, come on! That's hardly fair!
No-one ever said life was fair. You of all people should have a very good understanding of that by now.
Right, thanks for the reminder. Anyone ever told you you know how to wreck a guy's good mood?
Only you. But then you've also told me I've made your day a number of times, so you understand if I don't take a great deal of notice?
Hmmph, don't you have some crazy ikrans to go and play with?
Yes, and you really should come and see what they've done with the place, it's rather interesting.
Yeah, yeah, I'll come visit, right after everything else. Can you meet me at the beach? I don't have time to go and get Brisingr and want to try a little more power on Jake's legs today.
I can.
Good, see you there.
You will.
He crossed the road and hurried down the path, glad he didn't have to go via Stark Tower to save himself some time, so he could make the session with Juliet and Jake. He rounded the corner and nearly ran smack bang into a girl wearing a pink dress, peering in the window of one of the deserted shop fronts.
