Who: Nikephoros & Cherryfruit When: Aug 21, afternoon Where: Nike's apartment What: Hanging out, catching up Rating: M Closed Ongoing
It had been a while since Cherryfruit had seen her friend Nike. Since she last spoke to him she had been suffering from massive headaches that had her in bed for days on end. She knew it was because she was trying so hard to remember her past and she should probably stop but she just couldn't. Dressed in a pale blue dress she decided to pay him a visit. She wanted to see how he was doing and if he missed her as much as she missed him. She didn't have a lot of friends on the island and that was more due to her and her darn headaches. She stepped barefoot up to the centaurs door and knocked lightly three times.
Nikephoros did miss Cherry, he missed her very much! He had often thought about messaging her, but he did not want to bother her. He also didn't know quite how the find her or where she lived. He feared breaking these strange buildings humans live in, so he stuck to his own or being outside. Now, he sat in his living room trying to read something on the icepicture, lips moving as he sounded out the words and squint, made faces. He did not understand 60% of what these people were talking about. Everything was so trivial.
"Is open!" he called when the door came knocking, putting away the computer device. "Come in okay!"
Cherry smiled, hearing her friends voice made her happy, happier than she had been in a long time. She opened the door and peeked in looking for Nike, "Nike?" Her soft voice called out from he doorway. She stepped inside and closed the door behind her, chewing on her bottom lip nervously, she looked around at all the new things that Nike had put in his very own home. Her place paled in comparison to this. She hadn't been able to decorate it much because of her headaches and not being able to work.
To be fair, his decorations were from outside. If he couldn't live in nature, he was going to bring the nature to himself. There were many leaves scattered, as if fall were permanently here, branches and twigs, vines of ivy and flowers strung on the walls or down windows, over counters. Outside had started to grow inside, now that he was caring for it. Nikephoros did not have any magical gift, but he was damn good with plants. However, not everything was hard and nature-related. There were many blankets folded and stacked up in a corner, many pillows of various shapes and sizes for sitting and comfort.
He had even kept one of the chairs, since he knew his friends would be over once in a while. When he had decorated, he had only been thinking of Cherry, for she was the only one he had really known and thought he would invite over at the time. It was all very cozy considering. The windows were wide open, letting fresh air in.He had no fear of bugs, of course. No fear of birds or animals coming in, either. The bathroom remained as it had been upon arrival—Cherry would need that, right? The bedroom, also the same, hidden behind a closed door.
"I am glad to see you, Cherryfruit!" said Nike when he heard her voice and then saw her as she came in. His hooves clattered loudly on the floor as he scurried his legs and got up to his full and massive height.
She grinned wide as he got up to greet her, "Oh I love what you have done to your place, Nike! It is beautiful" One of Cherry's favorite things to do was run through leaves. She had found that out early on in her stay on the island. She stepped closer to him, not at all afraid even though he could hurt her easily if he wanted. She knew that Nike would never touch her in a violent way, he was her first friend on the island, well her first real friend on the island. She puts a hand on his chest and runs it up to his shoulder, "How have you been, Nike? I have missed you. I'm so sorry I haven't been around, I've been getting awful headaches."
Beaming also, Nike moved forward and pulled Cherry up into his arms without a second thought about her comfort level or her dress. He looked her in the eyes, holding her up so they were almost level with one another. "You do not need be sorry! You are here now. That is important. I am glad you are okay. Your head is hurting from memory making?" he asked.
She squeaked and held onto his shoulders as she was lifted from the ground. To make herself comfortable she wrapped her legs around his waist and loosely wrapped her arms around his neck, she didn't care that this brought her dress up and that she was now flashing his apartment, "I feel awful for not contacting you sooner, I have missed you though" She smiled and stroked his cheek with one hand, "How have you been?" She nodded at his question and sighed, "It is slow...but...I have remembered some things"
Nikephoros never stopped smiling, turning and carrying Cherry across the apartment to gently put her down in the one chair. It was pretty comfortable considering, but it was not the best chair, either. When he set her down his eyes found her legs, oh…he looked away.
"I am good! I spend time with Angel Hope and work on apartment. I am going to do pig roast for brother twin birth party!" He beamed. "We will hunt boar in a few day times." He looked to her face.
"What is remember? Is it okay that I ask?"
She smiled when she was set down and made sure to cover up after Nike got a good look at her legs. She blushed and looked down to make sure nothing was showing, she shifted to get comfortable and smiled over at him, "I'm sorry." She giggled and looked down at her lap and bit her bottom lip.
"Angel Hope?" Her head shoots up and she looks at him, "Wh..who's Angel Hope?" She hoped it was a mans name she really hoped it was a mans name. A pig roast? It sounds like you are making so many friends here" She tried to look happy for him but all she could think about was Angel Hope.
"I...I grew up in a big castle...I remember things from when I was a little girl."
"For?" Nike never knew why all of the women in his life were apologizing. Men never apologized. These women had nothing to apologize for. If she was saying she was sorry for showing off her legs, she had no reason to. You don't wear a dress like that and expect people not to look!
"Mmm, yes. Hope, she is angel. She is very kind. She come over a while," he said and waved his hand around the apartment. "Well, I think I will with roasting pig in pit but I do not know many, now. The brother twins and Miss Izzy and Juliet. They are all I know myself."
His smile faded a bit to one of more interest and thought, lowering himself to sit beside the chair. He was still close to her in height. "It sounds nice. Was it?"
Cherry was a woman though and it was natural for her to just apology when she felt like she did something wrong. She made sure her dress was fixed then rested back in the chair comfortably, "For showing you more than you probably wish to see" She smiled as she blushed.
"Oh, Hope is a female" Cherry swallowed past the jealousy and tried to calm her heart. So he had another female and it sounded like he thought very highly of her.
