Crutches rested against the wall next to the bed and Ramses fought the urge to pick them up and hobble his way down the hall to the study. His tablet and a notepad rested on the nightstand next to the bed along with a glass of water and the remote to the television mounted on the wall. He'd promised Calleigh that he'd cooperate and stay in bed as much as possible, and he intended to honor that promise.
Which was why he was resting in the bedroom, dressed only in a pair of pajama bottoms and fitted t-shirt he'd borrowed from Calleigh's wardrobe. But it was hard, he'd never been one to lie in bed, even when injured, there was always something more urgent that needed doing than staying put to heal. Now he had more than just himself to worry about, however. His hands rested on the swell of his belly, tracing the movements of his unborn children inside him. It was still quite strange being in the body of a pregnant woman, but he was slowly starting to get used to it.
