"Lyrnessus was near to the sea, yes," she said softly, answering before she returned to listening. She enjoyed listening people talk about things and places they loved; the tone of their voice always said so much more than their words. And it was clear from his words that he both loved and missed his home, and his family. And who knew if he would ever see them again? If they would ever come here? It was one of the tragedies of this place, being sundered from those you cared about most.
"It sounds lovely," she smiled. "I can almost see it in my mind, the way you talk of it, but I am sure it is far from the beauty of the real place. And you are blessed with four children! Your daughter I have spoken to, but I am sure your sons are brave and noble men. No children came from my marriage, and I must say I am a bit grieved at that, although I would not have liked to have them killed when Lyrnessus fell."
Her smile faded for a moment, but her eyes flashed with curiosity.
"Elves? You mean...like Lady Arwen and Lord Curufin?"
