Who? Ritchie & Dan
Where? Medbay
When? Sunday night / Monday morning
What? Ritchie is an inpatient, Dan is working.
Open? To Miguel, Dr Cuddy, or ask.
Warning? tw: AIDS
The final dose. Miguel had told him that it was as good as flawless, there was no doubt that after this last injection had done it's thing, he'd be cured. It would be as though he'd never been infected in the first place. Well, there had been something about the memory being stored... he'd never been very good at science. It wasn't important - what was important was that he was going to live.
He knew what the next few days would hold, though, if the last two doses were anything to go by. It wasn't an instant cure - it had to get to work, and while it did he was certainly aware of it. Miguel had recommended that he stay in the medbay overnight for observation, and this time he didn't argue. It was definitely the best place for him.
Ritchie was getting quite familiar with the medical staff on the ship by now. When Dan had first arrived, Ritchie was chatting away to him quite normally, but the rest of the night was a blur. There had been a lot of vomiting - the horrible sort that kept going even after there was absolutely nothing left for him to throw up. Then he'd spent a lot of time writhing about, sweating, heart-racing, feverish visions... it was like a really fucking awful trip, but with more wretching.
He must've passed out at some point, and got some sleep at last. When he stirred again, it took him a moment to remember where he was. He had no idea was time it was, or even what day it was. He felt... hungover. Like really, really badly hungover.
"Dan?" he tried. His throat was raw with all of his puking, and it came out as just a scratchy squeak.
