The Lord's Blade Ciaran, one of the Four Knights of Gwyn and bearer of the hornet ring, gifted by Gwyn himself, hit the ground hard. It wasn't the hard feeling of striking flagstones as she'd expected though, her armor had landed against the softness of earth. It didn't seem odd to her in that moment, not when she was certain that she had just been struck down and life was about to leave her. But, the longer she remained still, the only pain she felt was a soreness from where she hit the ground, it it slowly begin to occur to her that things might not be as she believed. Her breath was still steady behind her porcelain mask, her chest rose and fell as it should. Her gloved hands closed, opened and flexed her fingers as it should. And when she finally opened her eyes, she slowly blinked up at the unusual sky above her.
She was still alive, she had to be. And now she wasn't alone.
Something moving quickly through the grass was the sound that alerted her and as it drew near she turned her head just in time to see the wolf sprinting toward her. She had time to catch the pattern and color of fur, before the creature was on her, paws landing on her chest to keep her pinned as her vision was suddenly limited to a large black snout and then a very excited pink tongue trying to lick at her through the eyeholes of her mask. Ciaran could only squeak in protest at first before she managed to guide the animal back just enough so she could sit up and get the wolf's tongue away from her. She knew the wolf, knew her well, and was very pleased to find something so welcoming and familiar in a strange new place.
"Sif." She said, more surprised than anything as she pulled off her mask, carefully setting it down beside her. She allowed Sif back in close, letting her lick at her cheek while she pulled off her gloves before burying her hands in the wolf's soft fur, pulling her back in for a tight hug that seemed to please Sif as her tail wildly wagged. "Sif, whence have you come, hm? And where might we be now?"
