"Johnn? It's time." The cat spoke softly, normally it would make some sarcastic comment, but he knew it wasn't the time. The mechaman did not respond, which worried the cat slightly. His creator had been sitting there for over two days, staring at the container that held his new body with all his communications cut off. The workshop was pitch black save for the green glow of their eyes. At one point Frederick thought of calling his friends to come and check on him, but he knew his creator wouldn't appreciate that gesture, especially if a specific one were to show up. "Johnn?"
"I know." A trace of melancholy followed along with the sound of his voice. For the past two days, he sat there, going over everything that has happened to him. From when he could first remember until the moment he sat down. His hopes, dreams, the good, the bad, all of it traced through his mind as he prepared himself for what was next: Rebirth.
Slowly, the manbot stood up and made his way to the container. Grabbing on to the handle, he hoisted it around his shoulder. Johnn made his way through the entryway of his workshop. On his way out, he made sure to grab the bottle of Asgardian Booze he promised.
"Happy Birthday, Johnn." The cat spoke softly again just after the door shut.
The soul in the machine made his way through the spire, until he reached his destination: Sarah O'Hara's Boom Room. She had given him access to it just a few days ago, as he said he would be there earlier than everyone else. He had not noticed the decorations and party favors when he passed through the observation room, but if he had, he would have appreciated it. Though, as if automatically, he set the bottle he had on one of the tables. After entering the main room, he set down the container right side up, so that it faced him. And there he stood, almost like a statue, waiting for Loki and anyone else who was going to attend to arrive.
