Bryn wasn't exactly avoiding anyone. Not really. But she couldn't say she was exactly healed from the death of Thor. While she'd never regret anything, especially a relationship with such an easy loving man, she was sure she didn't want to experiment in monogamy again, for a long while at least. Even if it meant watching everyone else play happy families, she still had her daughters, and would soon fill out the absence of a son. Her tryst with John had taught her that, perhaps, she wasn't ready to be loved in such a way. Or to love someone in such away. She wouldn't have been so attracted to John, or anyone, if she was, would she?

A distraction from what she was feeling, was what she was seeking. She hoped for someone to pass, someone wanting to use the gym for a bit of practice. Boredom wittling. Headphones were plugged into her ears, so she didn't while away her time waiting in boredom. A hodgepodge of different sounds pouring out of her phone, filling the silence. If someone got close enough they would be able to hear the music, it was up so loud.

Dressed in a black one piece, a lycra type material from ankle to shoulder, with a deep collared v that plunged low enough that it would make a person question why she was really there. A sword settled over her lap, though, sheathed of course. Her shoes were sensible black hightop tennis shoes. All the black, and red lips, set off the paleness of her skin. Her hair was tied up in to a pair of thick plaits. Sure it was a mixed signal, but she didn't exactly like to make it easy.

With her eyes closed, she had to depend on her sense of smell alone to tell her when someone was near.

"I'm sure it can help a lot of people, I'm just..." Not one of the living. She was even different from the other vampire on the station. She was fairly certain he had both been born, not made, and was living. But Thomas was not very sociable.

A little grin turned up the corners of her mouth. "I'm ready. And if you would like, if you would allow me to feel the weight of your daggers, I can make you wooden replicas if you want to spar with someone that is a little more..." Squishy. She turned her feet so that she faced him. She wouldn't make the same mistake of giving him her side.

"Human?" he replied. "You already old me that you're a Vampire" he replied as if it were no big deal. He shrugged and smiled in that sweet but cheeky way he did. Like he was expecting to get cuffed around the ear at any moment.

"Actually, that would be appreciated" Dan replied. Dan never really thought about sparring with wooden weapons. He hadn't given sparring much of a thought when he arrived on the station either. His thoughts had been to occupied with other things. Hoping that the threat from Leviathan wouldn't come to the station or that corner of the universe, for starters. Worrying about his friends and family back home, hoping they were okay. And then there was the worry that a door would open to his reality and people would see for themselves just how horrible it was. How horrific. Gods, if that happened he'd have to try and keep them away from the door.

"All right, I'm ready when you are" he smiled, getting used to the weight of the wooden weapon.

"Well I was going to say less alive. But that works." She chuckled softly, because she wasn't exactly human was she? The description fit. But so did a great many. None she would deny.

Bryn decided she would wait, till one of them yielded, to get the details on his weapons. She knew the one she held, almost as well as she knew its iron lookalike. But rather than take the stalking path she had before, she decided head on was the best way to go. Her stance shifted to one that was more solid. Ready to give, and take, whatever came. Something she had done for hundreds of years.

But this wasn't battle. She'd wait until his stance changed.
