"That's why Darcy got so mad. Because I don't want to talk about it. And he poked until I talked about it anyway. I'd rather just forget everything that happened. Easier said than done, I know, but I can pretend. I did a pretty good job at pretending at the reception. At least for a little while." Until she started poking back, that is. But Rawdon wasn't wrong. Ashley had made her choices. And Shepard had stuck to hers.
Distraction was better though. He made it easy to forget. "That's how I send texts and make phone calls, and pass along dirty pictures. The phone has to be near though. But..." She curled in her lips, toward her teeth. "If there's any electronically run banks I can hack them, and pretty much become a self made millionaire if I wanted to, or just get out whatever money is needed." She'd only done it a few times though. Here, though, she had to depend on the kindness, or the sheer fact that they wanted her out of their hair, of others.
Shepard nodded, then chuckled softly. "I'm glad I could be there with you for that. You're far more put together than I am." Why was he attracted to her.
