Re: Shepard and Ashley and Rawdon
Rawdon pulled a bit of a face and then started laughing along with her. "Alright, that is utterly ridiculous," he nodded in agreement. He still had a lot to get used to about the station, but it seemed like the kind of place that continually threw curveballs. Like the whole vampire thing.
"Ah, I do believe that. She's a good woman indeed," he nodded. Better than any he had ever met before. He felt incredibly lucky.
His simple compliment got the most wonderful smile out of her, and it was contagious. "Oh, yes. My family's place has been falling about our ears for decades," he admitted with a wry smile. "It takes a lot more time and dedication than many people realise, I think." There was a lot of responsibility involved in maintaining a historic building. His father took that responsibility a lot less seriously than Darcy
"Yes, I suppose so. If it weren't that we'll all be heading back to the station, I think I'd be overstaying my welcome far too often," he joked a little. She had to feel a little hard done to - marrying into all that, but having a door close on it almost immediately. Maybe he'd just met with a different sort of woman in his time.
