If more comfortable accommodations were offered, she had refused them. She refused a more comfortable chair, as well, stating if she was too comfortable she would sleep deeper. She would miss out on one of his brief awake moments. So she sat in the semi comfortable chair, hunched over so that her head lay beside him on the bed, her hand close enough to his that she'd feel the slightest twitch. Shepard didn't define to herself, let alone anyone else, just why it was so important that he not be alone if he woke up. She didn't want to admit to herself that she preferred it to be her there when he woke up, but rather than anyone else, she simply reasoned being a soldier that she'd be able to sleep in a way that she'd wake up, if he woke up and needed anything. So she was surprised that she didn't hear anyone come in, and found the vampire's hands on her shoulders leaning her back. She startled. "What the fuck..." Bryn had slipped in as silent as death himself. The scene before her wasn't a new one, but it didn't make it any less sad. It was one that she hadn't witnessed herself in over a hundred years. She was very grateful that Loki was going to see to it that this young man not die. So she didn't feel the slightest amount of guilt as she looked the woman in the eye, and used her glamour on her. "Commander... You are only dreaming just now. You'll wake up when ever we are through. Sleep well, and know that things will be much better when you awake." She was also grateful that she would not have to turn Rawdon, and damn him to the life she'd known before the station. She straightened up once her work done with Shepard. She moved to the bed. Her hand lightly chafing over his bared arm. "Rawdon, can you wake up just a little please?" It was a necessary evil. |
