June took the ice cream with a smile and a thank you. She’d never been to Australia, and really wasn’t going too far in to it now, but the zoo was nice and the change of scenery was well appreciated. She had the baby strapped to her front so they wouldn’t have to navigate with a stroller but the little one smiled with Thomas’ attention.
“That was an awful joke.” June said, though it was obvious on her face that it took a bit of effort not to laugh.
