It was a good day. The sun was shining, birds were singing and he felt energised after a great night with Kytana. Life was not as much of a weight as it used to be. "And here you go," Thomas said after he returned to the pair with two cones of ice cream in hand. He handed one to June before he turned his attention to the baby. "Sorry, don't have one for you. If you want ice cream, you need to convince your mum to take colder showers."

June took the ice cream with a smile and a thank you. She’d never been to Australia, and really wasn’t going too far in to it now, but the zoo was nice and the change of scenery was well appreciated. She had the baby strapped to her front so they wouldn’t have to navigate with a stroller but the little one smiled with Thomas’ attention.

“That was an awful joke.” June said, though it was obvious on her face that it took a bit of effort not to laugh.

	Thomas shrugged. An image of nonchalance. "If you aim for more class in your companions, don't spend time with me." He winked at her. Cocky. Flirty. Pure him. "Soo... what's it gonna be? This time she did laugh lightly, rolling her eyes a little bit as she licked her own ice cream. As much as she may tease, seeing him put on the cham was something to behold-not that she would admit it without being pressed. She thought she did alright most of the time, admiring or getting close to people because of who they were and not just enjoying a pretty face, but damn, his was a pretty one. She was at least placated in knowing he was also a good person, so her appreciation could go more than skin deep.

“Kangaroos.” They were in Australia, she had to.

Thomas would have argued the whole good person part. Not openly. Openly he wanted to hear it. But it was nothing he could believe. Her laugh, however, was a reward in his own. When they had first met, it had stayed hidden. But it looked far too pretty to be hidden like that. She was a different person then.

"Kangaroooos," he said as he searched the map. "There." He glanced up. "That way!" Thomas pointed towards a way with a flamingo habitat next to it. Then he spotted a sign with a Kangaroo on. It pointed into a different direction. "Or that way! Yeah, lets go that way instead." He leaned over and whispered into her ear. "Of course I knew that."
