It took a few moments for her to feel pulled together enough to leave the bathroom. The tub set to shut off when it reached a certain depth and the heater was set so that the water would stay warm, for as long as Brenna wanted. It was a real treasure. Something she appreciated, she was sure her daughter would too.
When Bryn stepped out and saw Loki instead of Brenna saw, she bit back a groan. She had raised her children to pray to him. Instead of following after her directly she stepped up beside the god, she assumed he was an illusion. "She will not get far. She's further along than I thought. I can smell it." Any resolve that she'd gained in that bathroom was brittle. And that much would be clear to the most oblivious. "And she doesn't believe I'm me..." The chuckle was short and humorless. "I didn't think she would." She closed her eyes and took two long deep breaths. "I know you're facing your Mother, and while I don't know what you're facing, I know it cannot be easy. If you can find it in you to loan me a small amount of strength with her, I will return the favor how ever I can."
