Ashley wasn't as nervous as she thought she'd be. It was a very important conversation they were about to have but she felt confident in the outcome. She was mostly nervous for showing up on his doorstep without any warning. No letter, no phone call, just a knock on the door.

She went only slightly conservative with her outfit. Of course the shirt was only revealing if she removed her jacket. She fully planned to keep the jacket on so he wouldn't be distracted. She also decided to go with her four inch red heels making her only 4 inches shorter than him rather than the usual 8. She wasn't sure why she needed that extra height. Especially since they would most likely be sitting down for most of the conversation.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. No matter what happened, she was going to be okay. With that thought in mind, she knocked on his door.

Darcy actually felt a little relieved when she seemed to back down a little. He definitely didn't trust himself with her, and while it was true that no one needed to know, and they could make it all right in a heartbeat, he didn't want to start thing on a sour note. He wasn't even supposed to be kissing her like that - so perhaps that was his meeting halfway. He had the feeling that halfway point was going to get pretty fluid and harder to define as time went on.

He blinked in surprise at her cursing - he'd have to get used to that. And then there was her question, and it took him a second to understand her meaning.

"Oh. Um. Limited," he responded, once he'd figured it out. "I am not a virgin, but... it was not like this," he explained as best he could without going into unnecessary detail.

	"A very wonderful adventure." She gave him a kiss. She smiled and reached up to touch his cheek. "I'm not sure happy is a strong enough word for it." Happy just didn't feel right to describe what she was feeling. She kissed him one more time. "There was one other thing I wanted to discuss with you, Mr Darcy." She grinned. Just sitting with her, able to enjoy her little kisses and affections without worrying was really very pleasing. Every kiss warmed him and seemed to get a smile out of him. He was sure he was smiling more than he ever had. “Yes, I know just what you mean,” he told her.

He tilted his head curiously at her. Whatever it was, she looked pleased about it. “Yes, of course. Anything.”

	"Good." She said before his lips met hers again. She slid her hands up to his shoulders as she kissed back. She could definitely get used to this. After a moment, she moved back again. Darcy was quite sure that he would never grow tired of kissing those lips. When was the last time he had smiled so much in one morning? It was likely a first.

"Oh, yes. Now, everyone calls you Ashley or even Ash already, don't they? So what can I call you?" he mused. The hand at the back of his neck was sending lovely little shivers through him with such a simple, affectionate gesture.

Really, all that he could think about was that one day he was going to get to call her ‘Mrs Darcy’. The very thought of it made him near bubble over with joy.

“Ellenore...” he tried out, and then smiled a little. “Proposed before I knew your middle name,” he laughed softly as he realised. Maybe Shepard had a point about it being speedy, but he really didn’t care. He knew what he wanted. “What about Elle, then?”

“I like it very well, too,” he assured her, sinking into her kiss again. And it was now officially the most he’d ever kissed someone, and the thought that he was now permitted to kiss her as often as they pleased was such a happy one. He knew that it was going to be difficult to wait for marriage for more, but he had no doubt that it would be worth every second of torment.

Darcy licked his lips a little as she pulled back again. At her question, his mind just instantly flooded with filthy imaginings. There was so much he wanted to do with her, and none of it was clean. He just had to think about her being in his lap to get himself all hot and bothered again.

“I don’t know. Anything you like. Is there something we’re meant to do now, in your time?”

Ashley blushed a little and chuckled. "Yes. The thing we just both agreed not to do." She licked her lips. That was how quite a few people celebrated engagement. And then she had a thought. "Though there is something we can do." She grinned. Ashley pushed him back against the couch and straddled his lap again. This time, she took both his hands and placed them on her breasts, just watching his reaction. They could handle this much, right?

Oh. Of course that was now the norm. He felt himself blush a little, realising how silly and old-fashioned he had to seem. “Ah. In mine, I’m meant to be very serious and seek out your father now,” he admitted. It was quite a contrast. What he’d actually tell him given the circumstances, he didn’t know. He couldn’t offer her any pin-money, any allowance, no share of any estate- what could she even want with it on a space station without currency anyway? There was nothing really to discuss, not in terms he would have expected at home anyway.

He was quickly roused from these thoughts by Ashley, as if she had read his mind about the filth, climbing back into his lap. Even just at that he gasped a little, giving her a questioning look. She had quite the grin on her face. He let her take his hands, and his face must have been an absolute picture of surprise.

She was barely wearing a thing - he could tell right away that she was wearing nothing else under the very flimsy material, and he could feel his heart racing again at the feeling of her breasts beneath his hands. “Are you trying to kill me, Elle?” he drawled eventually, although he made absolutely no move to pull away or ask her to stop.

"Let's not talk about my father right now." She chuckled. Ashley licked her lips and shivered just a bit. She reached one hand up and ran her fingers through his hair.

"That would ruin the wedding night, I think." She chuckled again. A little moan escaped as she pushed her chest into his hands a bit. Her nipples were rock hard and she just kept thinking about all the things he could do to her. She leaned in and kissed him hungrily. She was completely sure she'd never felt like that before.

Darcy just stopped talking, eyes searching her face to see what she was feeling in that moment. He was not disappointed. He caught the little shiver, and he was sure it was mirrored in his own expression when she ran her fingers through his hair. He could feel that shiver running right through him.

"Mmm, be careful then..." he whispered, but once again his actions weren't matching his words. Especially when she gave a little moan, it was music to his ears. He pressed against her in return, thumbs grazing at raised nipples. He felt hot and breathless as she kissed him again, and perhaps the tiniest bit embarrassed by how clearly into the whole thing he was. For all the willpower in the world was nothing against human nature.
