"I guess? I mean, I stopped living with my parents when I went to boarding school, so I had this phase while I was there," Miguel explained, gesturing at the laundry-bergs as he spoke. "But that's what I'm thinking about. I have a spare bedroom. I was planning to use it as a work-room when I first arrived here, but there's so much lab-space in the college area that I don't need a work-room. It's yours, if you want?"

Lyla chose that moment to join in as well. "I would advise you to accept the offer, Peter, because I do a lot of baking and Miguel and Sarah do not eat all of the baked goods I create."

"Lyla! This is Peter's decision, not yours," he said, scowling very slightly at his watch before looking back at Peter. "She's right, though. She bakes a lot."
