Sleep had been very peaceful for Roxy, save for a series of weird dreams that harkened her back to her arrival here. An explosion. Pain. Panic. Yet she was collected by friends and taken care of. Everything had turned out okay--better than okay. For a while she'd been sure this was hell. Another boring life on an island with no end in sight, no career to be had, just miles of water. Miles of space. Instead of all of that Roxy had found new friends and dreamed of them in her long slumber, though it only felt as if a night had passed. Maybe a quick cat nap. Roxy dreamed of Leif the most and sometimes moved in her sleep as her mind wandered off down delightful idealizations of their relationship from another romantic dinner under the stars to a dangerous game of Bite Me.

So today she woke up as she did any other day, although today she didn't feel as good about it. She felt rather sluggish as her mind stopped dreaming and started to rouse itself. Groggy. Roxy put a hand over her face and frowned, feeling her lips as she licked them. So dry. Maybe she didn't drink enough water the day before because she immediately thought she could be dehydrated. Soreness sank in. Hunger settled into her gut.

"Uh..." Roxy swallowed dryly and reached out for water from the night stand as her eyes flicked open and she squint against the dim light in the room. "Leif..?"

	Roxy folded her hands over one another quietly as she watched him, gave him a kiss in return, then closed her eyes as his fingers danced along her skin. "I thought I dreamed you up," she teased with a smile. "It wouldn't be so surprising. What if this entire place is just a dream? How else could you exist?" she grinned. 	She laughed before coughing behind a hand, throat too dry to get a good chuckle out. So she just grinned at him and watched him go, eyes drinking him in. "Nor do I. Hopefully, it's not." 	He looked a little concerned about the cough but since she didn't, he just let it go. He did chuckle. "I think I'm living proof of that." He continued to cook, though he did keep it small. 	Roxy nodded. "I'd love juice," she said. "And there are plenty of same-sex couples in my country. Some places were not as understanding of gay rights as others. It was...a complicated time I lived in." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"You are extraordinary," Roxy said with a dazzling look in her eyes. "I don't need anything, thank you." She took the juice and pressed the glass to her lips where she took a slow, easy sip and sighed upon swallowing. Cool and refreshing. The idea of vitamin c alone filled her with life. 	Leif got himself a glass of orange juice and took a seat across from her, smiling. Normally he would be blushing at the compliment but he was a little too pale for that at the moment. She set into eating once he sat and took a few bites before speaking. Talking would let that settle in and she'd see how her stomach would fair for more food in a few minutes.

"I would say I dreamed as normal, yes. I don't remember most of what I dreamed although I do have the sensation that I had quite a few." Roxy looked down at her juice as if it might reveal memories. It didn't but she chuckled and waved a hand.

"I do remember one dream about an octopus and Care Bears. That was weird."

	"We can go to the doctor if you would like." He nodded. He didn't think that was a bad idea at all. "It'll be good to stretch your legs and see how far you can get before feeling tired." He smiled. 	"Thank you," she reached out to take his hand. "I really appreciate your caring for me. I think I can manage by myself for a while. Maybe you should go take care of yourself?" Leif was about to say that he was fine. That he didn't mind going with her to the doctor. But then he found himself focusing on one of the veins in her neck. He blinked a few times and cleared his throat. "I wouldn't have asked." He downed the rest of his orange juice. "Not any time soon." He didn't want to risk hurting her. He squeezed her hand and sighed softly. "I won't be long, okay?"

	Her keen eyes watched as he seemed to zone out for a moment. Roxy did not judge or say anything further on the matter except giving him a smile and a nod. "I'll be alright by myself," she said. 	Roxy hummed in agreement and then nodded. "I think so, yes. There can't be any good reason a person just falls asleep for such a long period of time. I was not sick, as far as I know. Considering others of the station have fallen to the same fate, however, it could just be the same trickery as the island. It's hard to say but I'd rather visit someone than not."
