As if this place could not get any worse Heather had gone missing during a shopping trip or some such thing. Where ever she had gone, he return had not happened. It put Kylo on edge after his own disappearance, which still kept him up at night with dreams and memories of the event. It had only been a matter of hours that had had spent in his real timeline battling against foes he had since let go upon coming to the island.
Now the space station was turning upside-down. Body swaps. Gender changes. Age alterations. It was a headache to say the least and Kylo Ren hoped if he kept quiet and kept his head down he would not turn, once more, into his mother. Better yet he hoped not to turn into his father. He did not want to become either of them nor did he wish to become a woman, an elder, or a child. So he kept quiet. He meditated and trained as usual with his friends...acquaintances--if one could call them such. He never knew where they stood with that label and he knew better than to ask. He wasn't sure of what answer he would have wanted to hear, anyway.
Heavy steps led him down the halls to the food court where the young version of Heather await. Kylo didn't know what to expect and prepared himself for the worst. There was doubt in his mind she would recognize him and have her full memories as an adult. So far the children speaking over the intercom did not sound as if they recognized where they were or what had happened and it felt like a safe bet that Heather would be the same. So he hurried to meet her, not wanting her to be alone any longer than necessary. The mouth of the plaza was only sixty feet away, forty, twenty...he came to a stop just below the archway of the hall that opened into the greater food court and looked around.
"Heather!" he bellowed, worry sinking in when he did not see her immediately.
