Adam had found the map of the island that Izzy had gifted to him, and quickly worked out the route to her house. It would be nice to visit, and to meet her granddaughter (even if the lady seemed too young by far to be anyone's grand-mère), but he was apprehensive to say the least about watching this Movie.
He had discovered how to use his telephone to take pictures a while back, so he took a picture of the section of the map he required to check as he walked, and then went to make sure he was dressed suitably for visiting. He tied his hair back, and then checked how his new clothes looked; denim trousers, a garment called a "tee shirt", and a short jacket made of soft, black leather. They were modern, and he hoped they looked well.
He walked out to Izzy's house, taking the time to think about the fact that people from this time still knew about Belle and him. He wondered how the tale would have changed in the two centuries since it had happened, and what it would actually look like. How odd, for his first Movie on a TeeVee to be about himself.
He was almost at the house when he met a giant. He stopped on the road and stared up at the large blue man until he was noticed. The giant nodded down at him with a smile and said a strange word to him ("Cal-tey"?) before heading off into the forest at a run. "...Bonjour?" Adam replied hesitantly, watching as the giant vanished into the trees, before continuing on towards Izzy's house. A few minutes later, a dragon flew overhead. "Cette île est très étrange," he muttered to himself, looking round for anything else that might appear.
The only other thing he saw as he approached the house was a small ginger cat who came over to say hello. She watched him for a few seconds, meowed at him quite loudly, and then turned to walk towards the front door. He followed after her, amused at her behaviour, and stood back as she pawed at the door. "Excusez-moi, mademoiselle chat," he said with a smile, and reached over to knock at the door. "Est-ce mieux?" he asked, and then laughed when she meowed back. "Bien."
