The remaining Sullys had stayed up well into the night, talking and remembering the good times they'd had with those members of the family the island had taken away from them that week. Eventually everyone drifted off to bed in ones and twos until the house was quiet and dark.

JR woke sometime after midnight in a cold sweat, the sounds of gunfire and men's screams fresh in her mind from the nightmare. A glance to her side showed his body, currently housing Elyssa, still sound asleep and apparently undisturbed. Thankful, JR planted a gentle kiss on Elyssa's cheek, then eased out of bed and into a robe and slippers before quietly leaving the spare bedroom for the kitchen. Coffee wasn't something she could have since they'd found out they were going to be parents, but she could still have a glass of water and let the bad memories pass before trying to go back to sleep.

Upon reaching the kitchen she found she wasn't the only one up, the light was on and Rachel was sitting at the table. "Heya sis, couldn't sleep?"

	"I blame her for being a munchkin." She chuckled, then nodded. "They are great kids. And apparently turn out okay." She still wasn't sure how her little ones would grow up without Drew around. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"You mean Bobby?" JR raised an eyebrow. "He's a good kid, pretty well adjusted for a telepath in this place if you ask me." Not that she was any great judge of telepathy but the kid seemed to be ok and not constantly snooping in people's brains or getting overwhelmed somehow, so that wasa ll good in her book.

"But even the two year old versions are pretty good, for two year olds." Having had a hand in raising most of her younger siblings she felt qualified enough to give that judgement at least.

"Bobby snoops sometimes, but he's looking for specific information. He wants to know about his father and doesn't believe I've told him everything I know." She sighed a little.

"Aunt Sookie taught them enough so they can be around other people and not be bombarded with noise." She tapped her temple. "They've been pretty happy since then. And they are extremely fond of Juliet."

"Well I guess that's to be expected." JR sighed. "If you ever want me to have a talk with him let me know. We can level with each other man to man." She glanced down at her chest and chuckled. "Or man to ex-man and hopefully will be again anyway."

At the mention of Juliet's name, her face fell again. "Yeah, Jules was a sweetheart. I know she loved spending time with them. Maybe she'll come back one day."

	"I think I need to just sit him down and talk to him. Maybe let him in and see I'm telling the truth." She shrugged. Rachel moved over and hugged JR from behind. "She'll be back. I know it." She hoped there was more confidence in her voice than she felt. Fortunately the boys were too young to really know what's going on. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
