Meeting of Old And New (closed log, Luke and Obi-Wan)
Who: Luke and Obi-Wan
What: Meeting, heading to the temple
Where: Between the apartments and the temple
When: Saturday afternoon
Warnings: None
Luke was intrigued as he got a better look around the city this afternoon than he had yesterday as he waited outside the apartment, watching for Obi-Wan to arrive. He'd be easy to spot, he already had his brown robe on as he had when he'd arrived. He'd spent the night in an apartment but now that he knew there was a temple here, it would be much easier for him there. Granted, he anticipated problems if Mara happened to come here, but it would depend on who all was at the temple and if he could comfortably admit to being married.
He could see once again that this was an island of some kind, and quite a large one. There was a lot of urban space, but he had gathered that it wasn't all city. Truthfully, he liked that. Coruscant could get a bit monotonous with no green spaces or areas that weren't built up. Yavin IV was nice, and he loved the natural environment, but the buildings there were rather basic in nature. Having a mixture of environments seemed nice.
A myriad of thoughts were going through his mind. Memories of the few times he'd seen 'Uncle Ben' as a child and finally meeting him and learning the truth later on. THe death of his aunt and uncle and their brief time together traveling to Alderaan. Obi-Wan's sacrifice on the Death Star. The times he'd seen him as a ghost after, and once had even battled with Obi-Wan's spirit augmenting his own. Obi-Wan had last appeared some time back, and had told Luke it would be for the last time.
Bits and pieces of what he was still trying to make sense of also swirled in his mind. Time travel, dimensional travel, alternate versions of himself...it was enough to give him a headache. It was so much to comprehend at once. He wondered how long he'd be trapped here and thought of Mara and Ben. Already, he missed them greatly.
He wasn't sure why he had been brought here, but he thanked the Force for the chance to see and speak with his teacher again. It was an odd situation, the leader and master of the order-Luke hadn't felt worthy to call himself Grand Master just yet-once again becoming a student, but Luke was eager for it, given he'd had so little to go on in his studies over the years.
He waited, looking and feeling through the Force, eager to see his Master's face once again.
