I don't remember returning to New York, and I don't remember it being this quiet, so what's this note about, and what's going on?

I bristle at anyone telling me where to go, but situations meant Vienna hasn't happened the last few times, and this was meant to be the make up time.

Someone's slipped me something. Definitely the explanation.

Fair enough. There are worse places for a meet up.

It's weirdly internally consistent in the details for a hallucination.

There are worse places for most things.

You say that, but the Savage Land is weirdly popular. Not to mention the entire existence of Madripoor.

Or it could mean that people underestimate their flexibility.

That happens occasionally. Different geopolitics. Madripoor's in South East Asia, it's an independent principality that's basically run by the mafia. Not my usual scene.

I've been around enough of that that anything less seems normal.
