SO...

Dumb question, but what sort of things does one need for school... considering one might be sixteen years old and has never been to school before?

Well, like, I should say that I've been taught though... like Tony made us learn all sorts of things. Just... not in a school.

Hi.

Probably some kind of placement test to figure out what classes you can opt out of and which ones you need. And then if you mean supplies, you can always look them up, but basics like backpack and paper and notebooks and folders and pens and pencils and more specific things are based on types of classes and even general class requirements or specific teacher requirements for the class. If you didn't mean that, well, it's still what's needed, but at least you know that stuff! :)

Uh. Yeah, I was thinking mostly supplies and stuff. How would I get these placement tests or whatever?

Dad and I were going to go look for school stuff and clothes and maybe... I don't know fun stuff. I'm not really sure, I'm still getting used to things here.

Contact the school and ask them? That's where I'd start. And the youth center might have some resources! May works there, and she might be able to lead you guys in the right direction for placement testing. But they might do it through the school, too.

For supplies, backpack, paper, pens, pencils, pencil case holder is good for pens and pencils. Sometimes markers. Calculators, but the type might depend on your math class. Notebooks, at least one for each subject. Folders, also one for each subject at minimum. You can get binders and put loose leaf paper in them, one for each class. A lot of teachers will give a supply list for their classes at the beginning of the year, too.

Fun stuff like stuff you like to do or t think you'd like? Or fun stuff like generic look up "what's fun for kids my age" and do that?

Yeah. that would be a good idea I guess. I'll have to find their number and call them next week.

Okay. I can get the generic stuff. How many classes does someone normally have?

Like fun stuff I might like. We didn't really have a lot of stuff in the dome and I wasn't as big on technology as Pym.

I've got it somewhere. If I find it first, I'll let you know it. :)

Six to seven. Sometimes eight, but that's usually homeroom, and I don't count it as a class.

What were you big on?

That would be really cool.

What is the point of homeroom then?

I read a lot of books and stuff. I did training and stuff. I sketched a little bit. It all seemed sort of pointless at the time.

You like sketching?

We can find you stuff for that.

I'm not really good at it or anything.

It was just something to do.

I've always liked it. Good way to pass the time.

I had some notebooks for drawings and stuff.

It was something I could do independent of the others.

We'll get you some sketchbooks and things. You can see if you still like it.

Couple of sketchbooks and a bunch of pencils. The textbooks won't be much help, he's younger now.

Goddamn monkey's paw. I guess it's just hard to feel like it's worth complaining about, compared to other things.

There's a difference between being hurt by something, and complaining about it.

Welcome.

It's weird, because he's been here twice, and it's the same and different each time, and

We all start somewhere, right? If you guys want help when you go shopping, I don't mind providing it, but only if you find you need it. Even just via text. Cause I don't want to invite myself along! I'm not doing that. This is like a you two thing that you two should have! But if you get stuck, you can always text. I don't mind. :)

True enough.
