I am yet to understand the meaning of this, and decidedly unhappy with this entire situation. However, it was explained to me that many others are displeased with being removed from their home and there is little to be done.

This realm is unlike anything I have ever seen, these tools are unfamiliar. These living conditions are entirely foreign, and yet I find I'm required to assimilate to the environment. My question is how? What are the types of things I should be investigating in order to learn about this place and it's unusualness?

I was unaware that such a realm existed. I feel as if I were cheated out of tales as a child.

I fail to see how anyone could quantify this into a jaunty tale for beside the fire.

I believe there would be many stops to explain the heat without the fire, the light without the day, the water coming from within the wall.

If you included some stretches of the truth such as a great battle? All of the foolish men around your fire would be far too taken with the details of swinging swords to worry about all of those stops.

Well, simple men are always distracted by tales of women and fighting, are they not? Inquisitive children will find questions no one could anticipate.
