I am yet to understand the meaning of this, and decidedly unhappy with this entire situation. However, it was explained to me that many others are displeased with being removed from their home and there is little to be done.

This realm is unlike anything I have ever seen, these tools are unfamiliar. These living conditions are entirely foreign, and yet I find I'm required to assimilate to the environment. My question is how? What are the types of things I should be investigating in order to learn about this place and it's unusualness?

Before here, I lived in a city that looked a lot like this, but this place still feels strange to me sometimes. Books about the city, guide books or history books, or some videos or movies could help.

What's your home like?

Familiarity must help, even with strange feelings. Those would be helpful, does this realm have a citadel with such things?

Winterfell is the stronghold in the North. We hold position surrounded by the North bannermen, to hold their families and armies during conflict. In the spring, there are fields as far as the eye can see, during the winter, it is a white plain of untouched snow.

It does. It's probably more of an unnerving feeling when certain things aren't quite right. For books of all kinds, there are places we call libraries, or there are shops around the city where you can buy them.

Libraries, yes. The books on the history and information of this place aren't kept secure by... anyone, I suppose?

Westeros is rather hard to quantify. It's a vast world, travel between the kingdoms usually takes several weeks by horse, although some can sail, Winterfell is rather distant from the water. Surrounded mostly by plains and snow.

They house relics of the past, often the very distant past. It might help connect some dots as to this world's own time and experiences therein.
