Dear people who have made their homes here long term:

How did you decide what to do?

I have so much more... free time, I guess is the right word.

I'm not facing off against bad guys, the sort of crime that pops up here hardly needs use of a super suit. Do I continue inventing at SI like I did before? Do I go back to school?


If I did go back, what would I even study? I feel like I've got a great grasp on engineering and robotics, but like... what if I just want to do something else? It's not like anything I do here, or learn here, really affects the timeline back home. What if I just up and become a dance major or something?

Just a lot to try and sort out I guess. So what is everyone else doing with their lives?

I'm taking a sociology paper next semester. And I make jewelry and practice normal stuff like cooking.

Before if I wanted something I would just use magic. It makes people nervous though and doing it the hard way is interesting.

I don't think I qualify as "long term", but I was here as a child for several months. Now that I'm older, I'd like to study at university while working.

I don't know if I can say retired, but definitely like... what am I going to do, shoot a pickpocket with an ion cannon? Seems over the top. But also, fuck thieves tho.

I used to make cleaning bots when I was little, for the ma's of the neighborhood. Could still do stuff like that I guess.

well, i liked art and painting and drawing and tagging so i figured out something to do with that. and now i'm an art teacher, though i use the "teacher" part kind of loosely.
