I tried to save him... in '63. I knew that it meant that I would never see him again, but what did I have to lose, right?

I just made it worse. Made him join earlier. Probably made him even more scared of who he was.

When he told me that he'd signed up earlier, that I had forced his hand, I told myself to stop hoping I deserved... him.

It's just... another opportunity for life to rub it in my face.

I might be out for a while.
