God I've missed the 4th being an actual celebration, rather than a public performance of patriotic grief. (Patriotic pathos?) Last year all this still didn't quite seem real and the difference only made it worse. I can probably actually appreciate it this time.

	Not really. Most people here are American and the Entity seems to enable American traditions. The place does superficially resemble New York, after all. (Reply to this) (Parent)
