Not going to lie, I did need the vacation. Kind of desperately. And this place is still insanely weird

But if we're genuinely stuck here, I think it's probably time I settled down and found a job. Most of my uh, background skills, don't translate to Goodland I don't think, but I'm good in sales and I've got management experience.

I'm also really good at diplomacy.

We do still have shops. You could see if any of them are looking for supervisors or managers. It's not the most thrilling, but it's a paycheck.

It's not London, but it's still a decent sized city with plenty of shopping. I wonder if I could worm my way into one of those high class shops. You know, the ones with the handbags that live in the glass cases.

The really high end ones don't have glass cases, but they also don't tend to be in Manhattan proper. It's worth a try, anyway.

Well, there's lots of large companies, right? Surely one must need security? Someone who can handle the cyber portions as well as the hand to hand would have to be useful.

Oh, I don't think it has to be entirely too interesting to not have skills that transfer to a pocket dimension that's missing - well, quite a lot of the things we're used to.
