Now that I’ve had time to sleep and to think, I’ve decided to follow James’ and Tony’s advice. I’m not one for sitting around and waiting.
For those of you who do not know me, my name is James Rhodes, though most people call me Rhodey. I have been in the Air Force since I graduated High School many, many decades ago. I have been struggling with a restlessness that I did not understand since coming here, and I know what I need to do about it.
To be honest, things with the influx of evil-doers could have been worse, but we came together and worked together as best we could without knowing each other-- without having and understanding of each others strengths and weaknesses. Some of us fought even though they were reluctant, some of us helped even when they didn’t have much to give. Over all, everyone acted commendably. Still, we were scrambled, it was very obvious that we were caught off guard.
I don’t want to be caught off guard again.
My suggestion is that I am going to run a training program. It is entirely voluntary, but will act as a guard for Goodland if necessary. We will train together two saturdays a month. We will learn how to work best as a team. We will learn each others strengths and weaknesses and we will be ready to fight against whatever hardship we face.
There is no pressure here, just thought that having a proactive guard might be worth investing in.
