Since my arrival, I've found myself with some time on my hands. Admittedly, it's been difficult to determine a direction for myself here in Goodland. Which is new. I've always relied heavily on having a plan for these sorts of things. Although it could be argued that my plan back home wasn't exactly a But you know what they say: Man plans, God laughs, Death Eaters overthrow the Ministry, man gets sent to a pocket universe.

While I consider my options, I thought it might be nice to familiarize myself with Muggle some of the literature here. Recommendations are appreciated.

May she have better success with them than I did.

They often do.

That's a decent read by the way, if you haven't yet. Not sure if youd really call it literature or not but, it's good.

You could start one of those book clubs.

That's a hobby, not a Maybe.

Have you given much thought to your next steps here?

It would pass the time, and give you a chance to ask questions.

I was thinking of stepping in to help Mum. They lost someone. Other than that, does surviving my daughter countno.

That's very true. There's so much we weren't exposed to. I don't think I truly realized it until just recently. Have you heard of You Tube?

I'm sure she'd like that.

Dad'd die for a chance to sit around and ask all the questions he could. Is that the tunnel the Muggles use in London?

Yea? It's familiar enough territory.

He would. No, this is a website. A collection of videos that people load to the internet so that they're viewable to, well, everyone in the world. There's also Google. It's a search guide that can link you to answers to pretty much any question you could have about this world. Or maybe it's the world that this world is based on. Silly name, though. Google.

I suppose the Statute back home makes it difficult for our worlds to ever really share resources, but it's remarkable.

You've really thrown yourself into learning about this place. Could you use that for a profession somehow? I think it's a pity this place doesn't have some kind of welcoming committee to explain how things here work, instead of putting the responsibility on friends and family who might not even exist for someone showing up here. I don't know how you'd get paid to do that, without asking the Entity to make it a position.

Maybe things in the future loosen up a little. The arc of progress and all.

What kind of books do you like to read?

I usually like non-fiction. Historical biographies. But in this case, I think I might prefer something different.

How about fiction? There are some great Muggle works that are deemed classics that might interest you, depending on if you're looking for a love story, something a little darker, or anything Shakespeare.

When's the last time you took a holiday or didn't have to write a report? Embrace it, Perce. Take up knitting if you need to do something with your hands.

Knitting, huh?

You can't quit now. You're just getting started.

Knitting.

I mean that I quit my job with the Ministry.

I'll take it into consideration.

I read that as you're quitting the report-free life.
