Is he a police officer? hopper was the chief of police in Hawkins. He has a service revolver. He let me touch it once, but he took the bullets out of it.

He was a criminal. No. Long story short, we have monsters back home called Grimm and we hunt them using weapons. His weapon was sort of a gun. It was a cane but it could shoot things out of it.

I don't even know my real parents. My mom is unwell, and I never knew my dad. but Hopper's the best dad anyway.

The family you make is just as important, maybe even more, than the family you're born into. I have some friends back home... they're people I trust implicitly and they're just as important to me as my parents and my grandparents. So if Hopper is your family... I think that makes him more important than people you never really knew.
