I told a man his shoes and pants were hideous and that women would notice, he didn't appreciate it. Earning money is hard.

Some people wouldn't know good advice if it danced naked in front of them.

Apparently, he was wearing velvet pants...He should have paid me for helping him.

..I have to remember we're in America, and 'pants' means trousers and not underwear.

Only rockstars should wear velvet trousers.

I didn't know it meant other stuff.

I've only seen pictures of them on the internet, from what I have seen he did not look like them.

I speak and write British English, rather than American English. They're generally the same, but there are noted differences.

You should've let him embarrass himself.

Oh. I use voice to type. I can speak English but I don't know computers well enough on my own.

I wanted his money.

Right, so you should've let him buy the velvet, even if they were a bad idea.

Probably so. I don't like this work thing.

You just need to find work you like.

What did you do before here?

I didn't have to do anything, everything was provided for me. I was a princess.

Yeah... I can't relate to that. I mean. I never wanted for anything, but I definitely had to work for anything that wasn't a necessity.

um...Okay. What did you do as a princess? Don't most of you have duties to your people, or whatever? Like, don't you have to do charity work and make speeches and take care of your people in some way? Or were you more of a figurehead?

I've never been allowed to work, even if I wanted to. I wanted to make clothes, but they never let me.

Mostly, be alone. It wasn't glamour, but it was semi comfortable. We only started talking to our people again a year ago after not for many years. I got to help open up the trading ports again?

But did you learn how to sew, even just, like, a sampler or whatever those needlework things are called?

What I'm getting at is why not learn now? No one's stopping you.

That sounds lonely. I'm sorry.

I don't know if I know enough. Do people like handmade clothes? Everything is so...complicated now.

Who would teach me? My tutors are not here.

It was. This is the most people I've had contact with in a long time.

It's called haute couture, and yes. It is more work than learning to use a sewing machine or using magic, but, yes. Generally, people pay good money for well-made, hand-made clothes.

Ask. I'm sure someone here knows how to sew. I was just talking to someone who was an interior designer. And if you can't find someone here who can show you what to do, then you could probably use the internet to find classes and tutors. Or, push comes to shove, you could ask the faceless entity.

I'll have to write that down in my notebook. So many new things to remember. I've only ever done it by hand. I made a corset once. Nobody was around to tell me if it was good though. I would like lots of money for clothes.

Maybe. That would probably be easier than finding on my own Classes? Like school for clothes? I might not hate that.

School for clothes. I had some friends who attended Muggle university classes after finishing school online because their parents wanted them to be able to get work anywhere.

That's why I like tea. It's hard to offend people with tea.

I didn't have money for tea. I'm running out. I'm trying to find a job so I can have tea though, or shoes. Mostly shoes.

I sort of did but only for a few weeks. Even in the future after I left the Defenders I just did magic stuff.

It would be nice. At least when I go to the lab I can just help people and watch what they're doing and things. That can be fun.

Tony's one where all the scientists work. Technically I'm an intern but it's mostly just because at home I used to like sitting in Stark's workshop and listen to his stories.

Oh. You get paid to listen to stories? That must be nice. I'm not a scientist though, doubt he'd have use for me.

Well, I'm learning about science and making things. And organising and cleaning and measuring things. I don't know much about it to start with though so there's probably people that would be more helpful than me. Back home I didn't get paid for it, he just liked having someone to talk to.
