The only job I've ever had was playing the drums in a rockband... and without the rest of the MJs I don't have that going for me.

So... suggestions?

[Adult Superheroes]

Say... say someone arrives in Goodlands who you know that in at least one universe, they become a super villain. I'm talking like... full on throwing handmade tech bombs at crowds sort of super villain. I'm concerned about him, because I don't know at what point the Hobgoblin starts doing his thing, and when I confessed my concerns to well, frankly the person whose villain this is, he told me that it's a different universe and that he knows this person and he would never be that bad guy...

but we're blind to the people we care the most about, and I know that my best friend unwittingly became a villain through... well intentioned means. I don't want to see that happen here, but I don't know what to do about the potential of a bad guy running around unchecked.

In one universe...and also the one I'm from I was a full on supervillian. I did a lot of crap. Hurt my friends. But things changed.

I guess I kind of get this guy. Maybe in another universe he is one. But in this one it'd be cool if we could give him a chance. I got a chance and it worked.

It's just one of those things--- do you go hands off and hope for the best? Or do you keep watch and then wind up agitating an otherwise normal kid?

I think you can keep an eye without being right there all the time?

People can be completely different in other realities. We know it happens in another reality so we're informed.

I know it's entirely personal for me but let the kid be a kid. If things change, we talk again.

I just know how quickly things can change. My best friend... He was just my dorky best bud, and suddenly he wasnt. He was a villain and when I had to fight him and that broke me for a long time.

I don't want that to happen to the other kid.

My friends had to fight me. Or her friends. I'm sort of complicated. There's me and there's Caitlin and I kind of took her over. But we have a timeshare deal now. It's all good.

My fear is that if you push the kid too much you'll push him toward it. He's not that now and maybe he won't ever be. Let him be a kid.

Well, the multiverse is a real thing, and I've come across villainous doubles of my best friends before. It's a [...] trip.

But honestly? I'd try to keep an eye on them, but nothing too overbearing. You know, the whole 'keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer' thing has worked for me.

Is Gwen1 Gwen Poole? She comes over my place a lot. Not for me, duh, but for Ellie.

I think most of the scientists here would know if their tech got misplaced or misappropriated, but just treat him like a person. Let him play with tech. He's not the same person you've come to know, at least not right now, and hopefully, he'll never be.

Gwen1 is Gwen Poole, yes. I am Gwen2 (which I accept only because I am the second one to arrive), my name is Gwen Stacey. But we are both Dolyn's-not-Neth's and have older brothers name Theodore. It's weird.


I'm just worried about not doing anything and people getting hurt.

Speaking as someone who has been told he is in multiple universes, I don't think it is fair to judge one version based on another. I've been here six months and, hell, sometimes people in my own universe surprise me. Difference circumstances allow for different choices, especially when the version you know isn't the one here.

We can all become unwilling villains. Been there. Done that.

Every Peter I've met has let how much they like someone affect their threat. Hell, maybe it's just a spider person thing in general, because Miles and I did the same thing.

You are condemning someone who hasn't done anything here or in his timeline if I'm assuming correctly? Maybe it isn't denial so much as this ---whatever this is--- doesn't or won't happen in his universe.

I full admit that I'm biased. My best friend became evil behind my back, and... I had to handle it. It... it wasn't my fault, but my best friend... my Peter Parker died because I couldn't see what was happening. I dont what any of that to happen to... this Peter Parker. He's the same age my Peter was when he died.


From what I've heard in the other Universes, Ned Leeds becomes Hobgoblins. Builds Bombs. Blows things up. Lots of civilian casualty. Repeatedly tries to kill Spiderman.
