I’m really enjoying my photography class. We had to do a project last week, and my siblings sort of helped me with it in their own weird way. We had to take a series of pictures under the same common theme using one experimental aspect.

For my experimental aspect, I chose to play with shadows and light, and my theme was home. I think I really like what I came up with--- here are a few from that set, I got a really good grade on them.




It's uh... a broken umbrella. Get it?



Five and Vayna helped me with this one while they were little.



This is a subway tunnel that has become closed off... it's sort of hard to get in, but it has become one of my favorite places.

And then I got to follow that up with a 38% on my Algebra II test, so. Yep.

I should have done this yesterday after out talk about Diego, but I was… still sort of upset about him being gone.

They already know what you look like, so I can't take the tests for you. So I guess when you have a moment, you're getting your book, and I'll help you. If it's something that did make sense but stopped, or if it never made sense, we'll work it out.

I wound up in Photography as an elective, but I like it a lot. Its sort of cool. I got myself a used camera and stuff. Its not like super good, but I like it.

Hey. I use a really old iPhone, and my stuff turns out pretty good! It isn't all about equipment. You can have the most expensive, top of the line gear, but if you don't know what you're doing and never bother to learn how to use it or any of the basics of anything, it's just a bunch of wasted money. The nicer equipment is nice, but it can always come later.

It's okay to be upset that he's gone for as long as you need to be. You don't have to stop being upset about it around me just because I'm not.

Out childhood was very fucked up. And I think all of us are still reeling from it and dealing with it in our own ways. Whether or not those ways are healthy is another matter.

I know you don't hate me. And I know that Five doesn't hate me. I know that Allison probably should but doesn't. Luther doesn't seem to. Klaus... It's hard to get a read on Klaus because I'm never quite sure what's truth and what's bullshit with him. I think that's one of the ways he copes, so I'm not going to force him into anything.

Diego... Ben, even if hate is a strong word, he has made it abundantly clear that he does not like me and doesn't want me around and that started when we were kids. It's above and beyond the exclusion thing that Dad did to me. He constantly poked at me and taunted me until all I could do was find a quiet corner and cry and hope that none of you found me. Once I published my book, he just got more obvious about it. In almost thirty years, I can't recall him saying even a single kind word to me. You all know a different Diego, and that's great. I wouldn't want anyone to be put through what I was put through, but please don't try to tell me that my experiences with him were wrong because they weren't your experiences with him.

You and Klaus have both mentioned him changing. And if he has, that's wonderful. I hope it's true and I hope he continues to. But he doesn't have to like me, and I don't have to like him.

And who actually needs Algebra in the real world? I've genuinely never passed a test that involved it. Or Trigonometry. Triangles like.
