Good afternoon. My name is Querl Dox, or Brainiac-5. I am told that it's 12:47:10 - winter, November 15, Earth-38, but it was 17:21:54, summer - July 22, precise designation unknown. But don't worry, I have calibrated my internal clock by now.

But may I inquire about server space to which I can download my image inducer's specifications? It seems that people aren't pleased with my appearance. I'm reminded me of the time when I tried to purchase some apple cider vinegar in the Piggly Wiggly and a riot ensued. I'd also feel amiss if I didn't inquire about Supergirl, Dreamer or the Martian Manhunter. Are they [...] about?

I don't think I've heard any of those names mentioned around here.

But hi, I'm Daphne. Do you prefer to be called Querl Dox or Brainiac-5?

That's unfortunate.

Whatever you feel most comfortable with. Although the Legionnaires and my friends do call me Brainy.

Well, there's no sure fire they won't come. My friends weren't here for a while, and then my bestest dog showed up and my best girlfriend showed up.

Brainy it is. My friends call me Daph, so feel free too. :)

Is there anything conclusive that predates someone's arrival?

Nicknames do promote an emotional connection and accessibility that the more formal version of my name blocks. I've been told my name is a little too alien.

Not that I know, but I'm not really part of the smart people crowd. One of them might know.

They do! And sometimes they're cute. I don't think 'too' alien, least of all if you like it.

I will ask this Tony Stark. Do you know their pronouns?

Well, Daph. Brainiac is a title held by the Brainiac clan on Coluan that only the most cerebral among us may claim. So far, there have been five. But I'll admit that have a fondness for being called [...] Brainy.

Tony is a he from what I've seen.

So it's a symbol of status too? Well, that's important for you and your people, you're one of five people to ever hold that title. Brainy is cute, I like it, but you should still feel okay to use Brainiac-5 if you want to.

I have been trying to [...] reclaim the title from my more villainous ancestors. But Barney is exclusively reserved for coffee and pizza runs.

Brainy works. It's nice.

That sounds like a noble effort. Barney is probably easier for people to shout out when your order is ready.

Then we'll use Brainy. Welcome to Goodland, Brainy.

Eight terrabytes should just about do it.

That's not so bad. You'll want to talk to Tony Stark.

Do I send him a text? What is appropriate in the 21st century? I haven't yet figured it out.

Brainy? Supergirl, Dreamer and Martian Manhunter aren't here.

Welcome to Goodland Querl Dox. I'm Aziraphale.

I'm afraid I haven't heard of anyone who goes by those names here.

Nice to meet you, Arizaphale. But please, call me Brainy.

So I've been told. I can't decide if that is bad or good.

Of course, Brainy. If that's what you prefer.

It's possible that they will turn up. That happens occasionally.
