I always thought I'd be super excited to exit my teen years, but I have to say, the snow aside? Twenty feels pretty anti-climatic.

[Entity]

I've been told if I need something I can put in a request? I don't need many things, I don't take up that much space, and I pride myself on being able to adapt quickly, but I'm struggling to do that here without my dragon, Lockheed. He's my companion and my best friend.

I realize when one hears 'dragon' their knee jerk reaction is to probably say 'no'. But, he is cat-sized and doesn't breathe fire unless he's defending himself. He can also take care of himself because he comes from an advanced planet of intelligent life. This may seem like a ridiculous request to you, because of dragon, but it's my birthday, and it never hurts to ask questions.

Yeah...they want so badly to be one big happy family. But so many of our problems come from within, because of the approach.

Everything went to shit at the Institute? Sounds like a typical Tuesday.

And god forbid we be a little bit too rigid towards instant change and bonding.

Everything went to shit with the world, so more like a Friday-Saturday shit storm.

It isn't exactly easy for everyone, and I don't think they know how to handle it. It was easy for me when I was 14, but I feel like if I went back now, I'd have that rigid toward instant change and bonding thing. Japan was...well we'll just stick to the whole 'bullshit' theme.

Oh! Well, yeah. Friday-Saturday shit storm it is.

That's something else the teachers all seem oblivious to. How our experiences with them and their bullshit team affects us. Like yeah, I was just almost murdered by mutant hating generals, I feel totally fine with still working to save the world. I don't need a break or therapy at all.

Good intentions poorly executed.

Yeah it's totally fine. Just give us a bandaid and then we're good to go. Everything is peachy. You know, I've never actually had the chance to say any of this before. It is kind of cathartic. Imagine if everyone at the Institute felt like they could talk about this shit and not get backlash from anyone there.

Ah. That happens a lot.

Yeah, there's a certain degree of 'don't look under the sheet' at the Institute where everything is just pretend okay. And I guess we all buy into it because we're getting all that shit y'know. The roof and the training and the education and all the protection. But we never really think about how we're paying for it.

There's just a lot of stuff we're expected to just deal with quietly on our own.

And with that, we've come full circle back around to it all being bullshit.

Yup, but we should get a coffee some time and bitch about the shitty things at the institute we put up with.

I am definitely down for more therapeutic bitching.
