I think I have a good number of exit routes in the maze marked. If anyone is having trouble, I'm happy to serve as a guide as long as you're okay with meeting me at a snack station.

With situations like this, it makes sense some people would be more open than they might be otherwise.

Appreciate it. Can't really speak for the rest, but we all managed to walk out so that's got to be a good sign.

How are you holding up?

There's a lot less fear within the general populace here... things and people who are different seem to be pretty common. I think that helps with the decision.

It's always a good sign when you can walk away.

If I say what I'm really thinking here, someone somewhere will take that as a challenge to make life more "interesting" for me, so I'm going to plead the Fifth, if you don't mind.

I'm waiting for that to change. Just because you take humans and others considered people of any kind out of their world doesn't mean you remove their prejudices, fears, and basic natures. Eventually

It does seem like this place has a general tone of acceptance for what might be considered different.

Agreed.

Does that work in this case, or is that different in your world?

Understandable. Basically a "it could be worse" or "what could go wrong" or "well that wasn't so bad" and then it turns to shit.

So far. We'll see how it plays out.

In my case more often than not, an ancestor of mine gets involved and decides to put me in the path of something that needs to be taken care of. And if I'm lucky, it won't kill me in the process.

That we will.

Sounds a little bit like my dad but with far more ominous undertones than he had (and he had a few). Does this mishegas with the maze seem like something one of your ancestors would do?
