It's scary how easy it's been to settle into a life here. A good life, too. I miss people from home but the majority of my 'family' are right here and so long as they are I feel safe. Are we supposed to be happy here?

Cora
I thought maybe we could go and see a movie or something tonight? Are you busy?

Definitely trying.

Home is not good for them, I take it?

If we ever get a handle on this place, hopefully we can have some control on giving people choices about being here. You know, pop in for a visit with your mom. If she likes it, she stays. If not, she goes home.

Home is... difficult. Not always fun, in fact often the total opposite of that. People around us get hurt a lot and sometimes worse. Goodland is peaceful by comparison.

That sounds like an awesome concept. My friend, Stiles, has a murder board with the comings and goings plotted on it but he hasn't seen a pattern yet.

That seems to be the one common theme among most of Goodland's residents, heh? Glad your friends are better off now.

It does seem haphazard.

Okay, that's interesting. Do you think that might be the thread in all of this we're missing? That it's not about us but our homelands? Or does trying to think though why any of this is happening just going to drive me crazy?

I think if you go crazy, you'll be in good company. You'd be crazy if you didn't question it.

I think, possibly, the entity is trying to give us a second chance here, which might be why so few --- well, none of the villains from my world have shown up yet. So, to answer you, yeah, I think it has something to do with where we are from. Or when.

I've already been offered a (non-padded) cell by one of my friends, so if I go completely mad I have options.

Second chances? That's... pretty interesting thinking, actually. None of the villains from my world are here either except Derek who's reformed. so you might be on to something there. It's something to think on, anyway.

So, I'm guessing this second chance is going well for you?

What a thoughtful friend.

So far, yeah. Hope you find it the same.
