Woah, so...

I'm still here. Which is good! I mean, I'm glad. Really glad!

Just...not sure how? But that's okay. It's actually really schway. I mean, I'm still here!

This is...Goodland? Does anyone know how far that is from Central City?

Anyway, hi! I'm Nora.

I'm guessing not the bugs.

Did you succeed?

Yeah, I think so?

I was erased which means things happened...differently.

'Was erased'? So it happened in your past? What happened after?

Well I went back in time and we defeated Cicada so yeah.

What she means is that she was erased by the timeline. There won't ever be a Nora West-Allen again, at least not in my future. Unless I go back into my own timeline, this is the only Nora I'll ever know from this point onward. And only here.

Which makes sense because of the causal loop of her going back in the first place, but I guess I was more curious about what that meant for her. Did she [ ... ] stop existing altogether? Or create a parallel universe?

And then I just figured I had caused enough problems on accident and I didn't want to cause one sort of on purpose.

No, the multiverse - parallel universes - actually do exist in my world. Me, Cisco, Caitlin, Nora, we're all from Earth-One. She actually created a parallel timeline when she time-traveled to my past and interfered with DeVoe's satellite. She was never supposed to do that, and the timeline eventually, paired with both little and big fixed events that were changed, reacted accordingly.

It's why I'm so keen on not learning to much about my own future.

But to answer your first question, she was erased by the timeline because things happened differently, she's right about that. It means she's never born, never finds out about her powers, goes back into the past or meets me, which means that timeline can't cope with the presence of someone who's not supposed to be, and erases her.

Let me guess, you guys started the numbering.

So being erased isn't necessarily in the past from her perspective, then.

No. For her, and for me and Iris, that happened [...] rather suddenly.

That's ... awful. I'm glad she's here, for both of your sakes. I hope the entity doesn't make a repeat.

She deserves her dad. I'm not entirely sure I actually deserve her, though.

It's probably worth admitting that I've done the same thing. I tried to save my mom, but the timeline just [...] changed so much and I tried to fix it, but I never could put it completely back to the way it was. I don't think Cisco's forgiven me for that yet. I never did manage to put it completely right again.

Which kind of goes to show you do. Or at least will put in the effort to make sure you do.

So that particular trait runs in the family. You'd better watch out for other kids to come.

It's hard.

Thawne mentioned someone named Dawn instead of Nora, but I'm happy enough to have Nora here with me right now. But Iris should really be right here with me.

If it was easy, more people wouldn't mess their kids up.

I'm worried about what that would do to CiscoThe Entity giveth and it taketh.

My dad seemed like a natural at it. In spite of the fact that he was in jail.

That's a rather off-handed I'm not so sure about that.

So follow his example? Even if it did come to him naturally, think about what he would do. Or think about how you'd want to be parented. Just be consistent.

I would recommend you just enjoy what's here in front of you and not worry about feeling guilty about your wife not being here, because we can't control or predict it and there's no telling what tomorrow's going to bring.

Honestly, I'm not so sure that Nora needs parented. Iris raised her, and I think she's done a wonderful job, in spite of the circumstances. Nora's a wonderful young woman, and I think she just [...] needs to know me, just as I needed to know my parents in a situation that was the furthest removed from all this heartache as I could make it.

Man, if I ever needed solid proof that Nora is my daughter, this would be it. Not the speed, not the West-Allen mannerisms, just this.

I always feel guilty over something. Just so you know.

I still think that counts as parenting. Not the life lesson, discipline side of it, but knowing your parents as human beings is just as important.

Noted. So what's your unhealthy coping mechanism of choice?
