You've been saying that a lot. Is it true? Because it's okay if it's not, you know. You don't have to act fine if you aren't. A lot has gone down and I don't think any reasonable person would expect anyone, even someone as strong as you, to be totally and completely fine after all of it.

And like... I just want you to know that I'm here for you if you're not fine. You dont have to be fine all the time with me if you're not actually fine. And I'll still think you're the funkiest, most awesome thing since sliced bread if you're not fine.

I am fine because I am here. Where I can't mess anything up.

I have made a lot of poor choices, that have lead to a lot of very dear people's deaths, Darcy. A lot of people. Almost the entirety of my people. Almost the entirety of midgard.

Things have gone well here simply because they haven't needed a hero, and when they have, people like Stark and Rogers were here to make the decisions.

I want to ~~shake you~~ be very clear- What happened, happened. I can't say you were to blame for what happened because I wasn't there, so I also can't say that you aren't to blame... And even if I could, I wouldn't think to negate your feelings by some... poorly executed effort at consoling you.

All I can do is tell you what I see- and that is a good person in a bad situation making the best decisions he can with what he has available. Maybe in hindsight, he can see other ways he could have acted, but that's the thing about hindsight- It's easy to critique yourself when you're not in the moment.

And... I'm worried about you. You're my friend and I care about you and I don't like seeing you hurt.

I suppose it's easy to see the best in situations when you don't feel responsible for so many deaths. My entire family--my father, my mother, my brother, my sister-- they've all died because of my failures. Less than a quarter of my people survived. I destroyed my entire planet.

How many times have I destroyed large sections of midgard by bringing upon it war? I had the opportunity to kill Thanos, but I had rather see him suffer... and that caused the instantaneous death of half of Midgard. It's nice to think that I 'did the best I could' but simply put my best wasn't, isnt good enough.

	I obviously don't know all the details of what happened on Asgard- and that's on me. I should have asked. I should have made a point to ask. But I can 100% point out that what happened on earth? Not the point.

It's not healthy, on an emotional level, to self-medicate with drinking. And I care enough about your health- both physical and emotional- to not beat around the bush. I am concerned that you are drinking so you don't have to deal with things that you should probably deal with. I want what's best for you and, godly metabolism or not, I can't see how avoiding your feelings is it.

	That's what worries me. Forgetting feels good. Being wasted feels good. But that's not dealing, that's avoiding. And avoiding isn't something that can be done forever. Maybe we can come up with other things that can hep you sleep. There's yoga, there's sparring... Hell, we can find you a girlfriend and you can have some very athletic sex if that will work. 	Darcy. I killed my sister. Destroyed my planet. Watched my brother get strangled to death while I was held unable to do anything. I lost my eye. I was tortured with the infinity stone. Heimdall was stabbed before my very eyes for daring to help Banner. There are somethings that ... the only way to deal with them is to try to forget them. (Reply to this) (Parent)
